Respiratory Therapist
(Full-time, Per-diem & Flex-call)
Job Summary
Everyday our therapists play an important role in improving the quality of life for individuals suffering from pulmonary diagnoses. Whether we are helping individuals recover from a COPD exacerbation or educating patients and caretakers on pulmonary diseases, we help create stronger post-acute settings for pulmonary recovery.
Key Qualifications
- Two years minimum experience as a Respiratory Therapist working in a clinical setting.
- Hold a current RCP license or RN license in the state of New Jersey.
- Possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance.
Description
- Prepare and maintain a record for each patient containing all relevant information, care plans, physician prescriptions, assessments, and follow-up documentation.
- Consult with referring physician regarding patient treatment, medical condition, and recommendations.
- Routine patient follow-up based on individual status.
- Participates in ongoing education and training sessions regarding respiratory patient care.
- Provides instruction to patients and/or caregivers on the proper use of equipment and respiratory care procedures.
- Ensures patients and caregivers can effectively operate and maintain equipment.
- Respond to emergency calls on an on-call basis.
- Provides and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to provide oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, non-invasive ventilation, and ventilation.

NJRA services the entire state of New Jersey. We have openings in the following areas.
- North Jersey: Bergan, Passaic, Morris, Essex, Union, & Hudson Counties.
- Central Jersey: Hunterdon, Summerset, Middlesex, & Mercer Counties.
- Coastal Jersey: Monmouth, Ocean, & Atlantic Counties.
- South Jersey: Burlington, Camden, & Gloucester Counties.
